Tutorial #1: Glow Effect
On this tutorial I'll show you guys how to make an Glow effect on text or anything you want to.
1-Create a new image with 1000 x 550px, press D, to put your color pallet back in order with black an white, then get the paint bucket tool, or press G and fill the image with black and put the text on white on the center of the image.
2-Now you have to rasterize the layer, click with the right button of the mouse on the text layer and click on Rasterize layer. Now press crtl+J to duplicate the layer, and on the duplicated layer you put as invisible by clicking on the eye on the left of the layer window, now you add some gradient on the visible layer, click with the right button on the layer and click on blending options, after that you click on the box that said Gradient Overlay and you put the gradient as you want on the angle of 0 (I put on this exactly order: #a41313, #6c13a4, #1372a4, #24a413, #e0dd0c, #ff8111).
3-Now that you're adding the Glow Effect, on the same layer that has the gradient, you will add the effect of Motion Blur by clicking on Filter > Blur > Motion Blur and put the angle on 0º and the distance of 75 pixels than you press ok. It will probably looking like this:
4-Now you have to go on Filter > Distort > Wave and adjust just like this:
Number of Generation: 5
Wavelength: Min.100 and Max.120
Amplitude: Min.5 and Max. 35
Scale: Horiz. 100% and Vert. 100%
Type: Sine
Undefined Areas: Repeat Edge Pixels
After that it will look like this:
5-After that duplicate the layer by pressing crtl+J and add some blur doing Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur with the radius of 5,0 pixels, after that press crtl+E to merge down both of the layers, and now you duplicate the layer by pressing crtl+J, and than you press crtl+T and click with the right button and click on flip vertical, than press enter. And it will look like this:
6-After that you will have to make the layer that you made invisible in the beginning of the tutorial by clicking on the square on the left side of the layer, where was supposed to be an eye, than you put the layer on Soft Light, duplicate by pressing crtl+J and add some blur by pressing Filter > Blur > Motion Blur with Angle 0º and Distance og 60 pixels. And the image will look like this:
Now you have a text with the glow effect and some abstract ones.
